The Food Network has highlight two of their dessert pizzas on their hit show "Top 5." East of Chicago was ranked 166th on Entrepreneur Magazines 2002 Franchise 500 list and is a member of Entrepreneur Magazine's "Franchise 500" six years in a row; which the magazine says is the best and most comprehensive rating of franchises in the world.
The trade publication Pizza Today, rated East of Chicago 27th on its 2002 hot 100 list. Restaurant and Institution rated East of Chicago 21st on the concept list and 274th overall in their 2002 top 400.

East of Chicago Pizza has a Peanut Butter and Jelly pizza and a Dutch Crunch pizza on their menu as one of their delicious, specialty dessert items. The Peanut Butter and Jelly pizza is a true American Classic…Jiff Peanut Butter and Smuckers Strawberry Preserves are used instead of pizza sauce and cheese. The Dutch Crunch is an exclusive East of Chicago recipe and it gives new meaning to Apple Pie…this is truly the best apple dessert on the market.
